Two weeks with the Title

They say time flies when you are having fun. Although it has only been two weeks since the crowning of Miss Ball State, the amount of excitement and anticipation for 2017 has been incomparable.
On pageant day, the time between our arrival early that morning and the final rehearsal felt like seconds. The auditorium atmosphere was filling with anticipation as the clock ticked closer to the beginning of the opening act. Seats filled with proud families and friends, and we, the contestants, said one last, quick group prayer backstage. From there, the rest was destiny.
Two weeks have passed since that Sunday afternoon. As I admire the polished crown box and crisp, white sash, I remain grateful to those who have given me this opportunity. The roses have perished, the "congratulations" have stopped, but I know my time has only just begun.
I want to take you along this journey with me, by my side the entire ride! This website is designed to serve as a blog for the year in the life of Miss Ball State 2017. Here's to a great year with the Miss America Organization!
