Child at heart

Ball State University held an alumnae and family event Saturday, February 18th at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. My lovely director, Carol, was one of the busy workers in charge of the event and had invited me to attend as Miss Ball State.

What a fun night! Hundreds and hundreds of Cardinal families filled the museum, laughing and smiling along the way. For three hours, I was a child at heart, laughing and playing beside them. It was a great opportunity to spend time with the children, network with current Ball State faculty, and brag to alumnae about all the great work Cardinal Country is currently doing.

We hula-hoped, we played games, we ate ice cream, and we took lots of pictures. Charlie Cardinal was there to experience the fun as well, as kids would take a picture with the "princess" then take a picture with the "bird."

Leaving the children's museum last night was refreshing. Spending time with young, carefree children for a few hours is a nice escape from reality. I appreciate the chance to spend my Saturday evening with proud Ball State families and (hopefully) future Cardinals.
